Der rollende Tisch ist ein massiver Holztisch mit angebauten Bänken auf Rollen. Er ist 3,5 Meter lang, hat samt Bänken 1,7 Meter Breite und kann per Hand gezogen/geschoben werden. Er ermöglicht Gespräche in Bewegung im Stadtraum und wirkt bei seinen Fahrten als performative Skulptur. Seine ungewöhnliche Erscheinung und Nutzungsmöglichkeit ist eine einladende Geste zum Austausch an alle Nutzer:innen des öffentlichen Raumes.
Am 2.4.2022 wird ein eigens dafür gebautes weiteres Exemplar eines rollenden Tisches im schweizerischen Bern im Rahmen der Ausstellung “Sammeln, Reden, Entscheiden – Orte der Demokratie” von 12.00 bis 18.00 unterwegs sein. Der Tisch wird im Anschluss in der Ausstellung bis zum 1.5.2022 zu sehen sein.

The rolling table is a solid wooden table with attached benches on castors. It is 3.5 metres long, 1.7 metres wide including the benches and can be pulled/pushed by hand. It enables conversations in motion in the urban space and acts as a performative sculpture during its journeys. Its unusual appearance and possible use is an inviting gesture to all users of the public space.
On 2.4.2022, another specially built example of a rolling table will be on the road in Bern, Switzerland, as part of the exhibition “Collecting, Talking, Deciding – Places of Democracy” from 12:00 to 18:00. The table will then be on display in the exhibition until 1.5.2022.

The rolling table is long and wide, but can be pulled and pushed by hand with combined forces. It enables conversations in motion in the urban space and acts as a sculpture during its journeys. It is an inviting gesture of exchange in public space to all people. This format was developed by Club real, who will also set up and accompany the rolling table in Bern.
The rolling table will be on the road on Saturday, 2 April from 12:00 to 18:00. It will start at the Reformed Church in Ostermundigen and end at Kornhausplatz. On the way, there will be discussions at various places on topics related to the planned merger of Ostermundigen and Bern. Everyone is invited to join in.
The expected stops of the rolling table:
12.00 reformed church Ostermundigen
Stop at the “Mundiger Forum”, a platform for all Ostermundigen residents to exchange views on the merger project “Cooperation Ostermundigen – Bern”.
